Chapter 2 Reflection

Much of Chapter two seemed to drag along. I personally did not find this chapter very interesting.  When discussing the details of the installations they talk about the human psyche perceives the installation.  I just did not find this very interesting with what chapter two covered.  The part when the author discussed minimalist installations was interesting because I like when artists do something out of the norm which makes the view think more.  The fact that someone has to think more when there is less to perceive is what I think makes minimalist installations cooler.

In the beginning of the chapter when the author talks about the lighting of an installation I found to be  interesting. The way the artist can synchronize the lights to flicker at the rate that the brain perceives information.  Being able to use the lights as a natural hallucinogen is pretty cool.  The fact that some art is able to play tricks on your eyes, ears and even brain makes that installation even cooler.
